The loss of a two-day-old baby after a routine circumcision has left a family shattered and a community horrified. Prosecutors allege that Dr. Hong-An Jan administered a powerful narcotic instead of a local anesthetic, then failed to act when the infant showed classic signs of drug toxicity: profound lethargy, poor feeding, and alarming unresponsiveness.
