Kagney Linn Karter’s death was tragic, though it took a more heartbreaking turn.
Just before her death, she had shared a seemingly carefree photo on Instagram, captioned “Hi from Florida,” in which she stood confidently on a beach.
The image gave no indication of the turmoil she was facing internally. In 2019, Kagney had moved from Los Angeles to Ohio, where she became a regular at a local pole dancing studio.
The studio owners, who were close to Kagney, expressed their grief on her GoFundMe page, describing her as a woman who, despite battling mental health issues, always showed up for her friends and community.
Kagney’s death, which was initially shrouded in mystery, was later revealed to be a suicide. The Cuyahoga County officials confirmed to TMZ that she had died from an self-inflicted shotgun wound.
