Hey everyone, I just had to share this wild memory because my friends straight-up don’t believe me! Apparently, modern parents have it easy. Back in the day, before we had the convenience of disposable diapers — or maybe just a different era of parenting — laundry was a whole different ballgame.
My mom, and probably many others of her generation, had a ritual that sounds unbelievable today. She used to take the dirty cloth diapers, rinse them in the toilet (yes, the toilet!), give them a good squeeze to wring out the water, and then toss them into the diaper pail until wash day. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was just what parents did.
