Individual Diagnosed with Aggressive Prostate Cancer with Bone Metastasis

Posted on July 9, 2025

According to a statement issued by his personal office on Sunday, May 18, an 82-year-old man has been diagnosed with grade group 5 prostate cancer, which is defined by a Gleason score of 9 and bone metastases.

A medical evaluation brought on by worsening urinary symptoms led to the diagnosis. Although aggressive, the cancer is said to be hormone-sensitive, which opens up possible treatment options. The patient’s medical team is currently discussing treatment options with the patient and their family.

Although the cancer may not yet have spread to distant organs or nearby lymph nodes, grade group 5 indicates a high likelihood of the cancer growing and spreading, according to the American Cancer Society.

This diagnosis comes after earlier health updates in which routine physical examinations had not revealed any serious issues. Additionally, a small lesion discovered during a previous biopsy in 2023 was successfully removed after it was determined to be basal cell carcinoma.
