Though the news broke earlier this year, tributes continue to pour in for actress Alice Hirson, who passed away on February 14 at the age of 95 from natural causes at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Country House and Hospital in Los Angeles.

Best known for playing Lois Morgan, the mother of Ellen DeGeneres’ character on the groundbreaking sitcom Ellen, Hirson was a familiar and respected presence on both daytime and primetime television for more than five decades.
