My relationship with my mother-in-law, Sheila, and my sister-in-law, Lily, has always been strained. They’ve never hidden their disdain for me, and the feeling was mutual. A few days ago, my worst fears about what my in-laws might be hiding were confirmed in the most shocking way possible. It all started when Lily accidentally left her bag at my house. At first, I hesitated to look inside, but curiosity got the better of me. I decided to check if there was anything important in there that I needed to return.
I was not prepared for what I found.

But the most horrifying discovery was the notebook. It contained sketches and descriptions of my children, along with chilling notes about “experiments” and “preparations.” As I flipped through the pages, a sense of dread overwhelmed me. The sketches were unsettling, depicting my children in various scenarios that were both bizarre and unsettling.
Panic set in. I realized that Lily and Sheila had been secretly gathering information on my children for some unknown, and clearly sinister, purpose. It was clear they were involved in something deeply troubling and potentially dangerous.
I couldn’t waste any time. I rushed to my mother-in-law’s house, where my kids were spending the weekend. My heart raced as I entered the house, trying to stay calm for their sake. I found my children in the living room, playing happily. My stomach turned as I thought about what might have been planned for them.
I gathered my kids quickly, trying to keep my voice steady. “We need to leave right now,” I said urgently. They looked at me, confused but trusting, as I packed their things.
Sheila and Lily arrived just as we were about to leave. Sheila’s face turned pale when she saw the look on mine. “What’s going on?” she demanded.
